Bellingham Flag Card Craft

Hello friends and welcome to this weeks Make-and-Take Craft!!

We LOVE being in Bellingham!! Let’s create the Bellingham Flag together! We can also create the Bellingham Pride Flag to show off all of the LGBT+ communities we are proud to share a city with!

Follow along in the video below:

Not only can you create a flag to fly, but you can also make it a card to share joy with someone you love!

Let’s gather everything we’ll need and create this fun Bellingham Flag Card!

To create a classic Bellingham Flag we’ll grab two strips each of dark green and light green.

Punch out a semi-circle of dark blue and align the overlapping striped to the edge. We’ll attach the circle to that the curve is a part of the flag!

Now add two white stars and draw three white waves!!

Yay!! What a perfect flag for Belling-home!

Now to create the Bellingham Pride Flag we’ll grab a few more colors!!

The flag’s four stripes are Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green! The Semi-circle is half Blue and the top half is Purple!

Add one star to either side of the semi-circle and draw on three white waves!

Hurray!! We are so proud to be a part of such a diverse and welcoming city!

Let’s decorate the card base now!

Using metallic watercolor, flick splatters of paint across the white card base. You can choose colors that match the flag you made, or colors that you love!!

We have this fun stamp “Greetings from Bellingham WA” for you to include in your card!

Complete it with stars of every color!!

Now attach your Flag to the front and send it to someone who you care about!!

Perhaps they’ll enjoy it so much they’ll visit Bellingham sometime!!

Thanks for creating something fun today!!

This craft has everything set up at our Make-and-Take crafting table, ready for you to come create!!

See you soon!!
