Valentine’s Day is almost here, and we have a make-and-take that we think you’ll LOVE!! This tiny heart garland is the perfect festive decor to celebrate the season of love.

Inside your Make-and-Take kit, you’ll find:

5 red suede paper hearts
5 dark red cardstock paper hearts
5 light red paper hearts
5 red linen paper hearts
Striped baker’s twine
Red eyelash ribbon

You’ll want to make sure you also have on hand:

Clear tape
Scissors

Step 1: Tape the ends of your string

To make the strings easier to fit through the holes in the hearts, you’ll want to place the ends of the strings together and wrap them in your clear tape. Wrap the tape around tightly, and try to make a little point at the end by rolling it in your fingers. Repeat with each end of your strings!

Step 2: Thread the strings through the front of the heart

Grab your first heart and start by threading your strings through the front of the heart. If you start with a suede heart, the fuzzy side is the front of the heart.

Step 3: Thread through the other side of the heart

Pull the strings from the back through to the front again. You can pull the strings all the way through if you would like, or you can pull it to the middle and then add hearts on either side of it so you aren’t having to do as much scooting around.

Step 4: Repeat!

In whatever order feels right to you, repeat steps 2 and 3 with all of your hearts! You’ll want to scoot the hearts so they’re all fairly close together.

Step 5: Fix the hearts

Once you have all of your hearts on the string, you can spread them out a little bit and fix any that flipped upside down. The easiest way to do this is to place your garland on a flat surface and then flip each heart that needs it.
