12" x 12" Little Gift Basket, Make and Take Craft

12" x 12" Little Gift Basket, Make and Take Craft

Hello my friends! This week I wanted to show you how fun it is to make a SUPER FAST little folded gift basket using none other than…. 12” x 12” Paper!

—-> This is a GREAT way to use up a collection of 12” x 12” Scrapbooking papers if you happen to have some laying around!

Check out how fun these are!!

Check out the Video Tutorial below:

To make this craft, you just have to start out with a piece of 12” x 12” Paper or Scrapbooking paper (A light-weight card stock is also sufficient as long as it is 12” x 12”) I decided to use these fun and festive papers from Lawn Fawn, the Knit Picky Collection

Score the paper every 4” (into thirds basically) horizontally and vertically and fold along the score lines

Next, I wanted to paint on some fun trees! Did you know this technique is SUPER EASY for making Pine Trees?!? The tool that is ideal for this is the Fan Brush! Check out how fun these trees are!

(I painted a pine tree on each of the middle panels)

After we painted pine trees we die cut some little birds and little kitties for decoration around the pine trees!

Now, once the paint is dry and all the little creatures are glued in place, it’s time to put our gift basket together!

We punched a hole into each corner of the 12” x 12” paper.

Then we bring the middle panels together, and as we do so the corner pieces want to fold in. We are going to crease that corner piece so the very corner is the the center.

Next, put a ribbon through each hole! Then, we pull the ribbon ends together and tie a bow!

I LOVE this idea! Great for giving a gift of small little things AS WELL AS making it look fun and festive!!

You could also take this concept and make a little holder for Art Supplies on your desk! The possibilities are endless!

Thanks for checking out this week’s Craft! I hope you are inspired to make your very own!

See you soon, friends!!
