Collage Ideas!!

Hello Friends!! Welcome to the Collage Demo Video!!

For this demo, I wanted to give you some ideas for creating Collage Art using scraps and bits and pieces! Check out all the Video Demo below:

The Key in any collage is to focus on 2 things:

  • Theme

  • Color Palette

Then, gather the items needed for your collage. Grab textures, solids, patterns.. anything that inspires you for your collage! Use a combination of small patterns, large patterns, and solids to break it up.

Check out this idea!!

I used a variety of bits for this collage:

  • Blue Gingham Paper

  • Star Patterned Paper

  • Map Paper

  • Sheet Music Paper

  • Letters from the computer I printed off (I chose a font I liked and printed it onto 65# Astroparche Paper).

  • Suede Paper for added texture!

  • Silver Butterfly Die Cut

I love how this collage turned out!! I had so much fun creating it!!

I had so much fun with this next collage!! I wanted to create a fantasy/romantic theme collage.

For this Collage I used:

  • Patterned Paper with a Prince/Princess

  • Heart Die- Cuts

  • Sealing Wax and heart Wax Seal

  • Heart Patterned Paper

  • Brown Paper Bag

  • Gold Mesh Ribbon

  • Printed letters from the computer printed on Astroparche card stock

I LOVE how this came together!!

I think of all the collage ideas my most favorite is this one!! So, I wanted to create a fun magical gal that kinda looked like me! So I drew a character and cut out little arms, head, neck, skirt, legs, and corset. Then I traced the images onto patterned papers and created a fun silhouette, added scraps of brown bag, sheet music and ribbon, added in some stenciling and created “MAGICAL” using the letters I had printed off of the computer! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how this turned out!!
